You'll probably need to adjust your shutter angle/speed. Red does a great free app called RED TOOLS that has half a dozen apps contained within - one of them is called Flicker Free. You dial in Power Frequency (50Hz in UK) and Frame Rate and it does a little calculation and offers you safe shutter angles/speeds that will avoid that annoying flickering.
Great interview. Love Ben Wheatley's work. Would love to hear more. To me he's the most interesting British director since Shane Meadows, but he does crazy genre stuff. Kill List literally blew my mind.
Very much looking forward to this and Free Fire - a 90 minute gunfight in a warehouse? What's not to like?
I'm 36 and I still love 'em.
"The last thing that really bothers me about this post is the blatant lack of respect for the medium."
You want anyone to take a sentence like that seriously and you'll have to prove your "deep respect for the medium". Although I've never met a professional filmmaker who has talked like that. Can we see some links to your work please, Mr. NinjaMonkey?
Thanks for the input, everyone. Put the same question to a few other folks and everyone who's worked with the Amira seems to be singing its praises.
Thanks! Been hunting for the Locke screenplay for a while.
