Well, i´ll have to desagree on that. I havent bought the license extention since i got the software, and still i produce DCP theatrical release quite often. Last movie were 40 DCP clon. The only improvement the Software has had since last 3-4 years is on regards of faster rendering, versioning and subtitles. If you have any doubts about this, the support team would still send you to the manual or FAQ, so there´s actually not much need of it. They also added some new SMPTE option, but there´s no need to use it at all. The only thing i would rate the support usefull for, is because if you have it, you get free update when a new version of the software comes out to market.
What im trying to say in here is that even if it is a bit expensive, for someone doing at least 2 DCP a year would be worth to spend the money, as he´ll pay for it once and could use it for 4-5 years without having to upgrade, that´s around 10 DCP for around u$2600, so at $260 for DCP it´s not that much.
One last thing i have to say againts the support from EasyDCP, is that when i realised that the color transformation being done by the Standalone version was different from the one being done on the DaVinci Resolve plugin, i contacted them to find out what was going on, and to know and which one was the correct one. They just didnt have an answer for this, just said they couldnt give an answer about a software that wasnt their (resolve). They even couldnt reply if the color transformation was being done by their mathematics or was DaVinci. So there you go, not that helpful.
I backup what Stephen said, it's an old software, i been using it for about 3 years already. Just wanted to add that the license its not yearly, it is permanent, just the "premium support" is by 6 month and then you are in your own if u are in any trouble with the software.
