If you'd like to add a book that focuses on screenplay adaptation, I hope you'll consider "Great Adaptations: Screenwriting and Global Storytelling" (Routledge 2018), 2nd Place Winner in the 2019 International Writers Awards. Screenwriter Robin Swicord ("Wakefield", "Matilda, "Little Women") says, "It's a book every screenwriter should read." It's also much more inclusive of women and minority screenplays and issues (such as the Heroine's Journeys) than any of the other screenwriting books on the list. Thank you. Happy reading!
