They told me May's update (which should also bring the samsung update) will have it, here's hoping that it will be there!
When I checked this thing out, it didn't seem that it would be that upgradeable as far as putting in a new system in it, but they weren't even shipping this one yet so I didn't think to ask about the next gen. There was a 30C at the end of the display line and the guy I spoke to said it would be cheaper but probably wouldn't be available for a while (like 6+ months I think)
I was pretty impressed with the LED technology in this light, it pulls 450w at peak power and the rep said people were comparing it to the 6k sky light at that intensity. So you could put 4 of these guys on one circuit and have nearly the equivalent of a 24k overhead light. I will say the dialing of the color temperature was very smooth and if you liked the L series this should be right up your alley.
Yup, it's heavy, and yup it's expensive but I think it's a light that you'll hold onto for a long time, it had XLR DMX hookups I believe an ethernet port, a usb port and a DC port so you could run it off battery if you needed to.
The RP version looked great too, but I think I'd rather just use C version at this price. Saw some interesting stuff from Creamlight as well might be a bit cheaper and also perform pretty well.
