Article Comment – Read Some of The Best Screenplays of 2018

Either links have gone bad or they've since removed the screenplays, but none of the Netflix links seem to work. Anyone managed to get Roma script?

Article Comment – REVIEW: Freefly Movi Makes Your Smartphone Videos Smoother—But it Takes Practice

So the battery inside the gimbal is interchangeable? What kind of battery is it? I haven't seen any special batteries for this Movi in the Freefly store

Thanks for the review

Any experience with using this with a Filmic Pro app? I suppose that anyone spending $300 on a Movi for their iPhone will be primarily using it with this application.

Also, can you control pan and tilt with directional buttons on the grip while moving or you can only do this by physically panning or tilting the gimbal?

Article Comment – First Film to Shoot on RED's 8K Vista Vision Camera is 'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2'

Hate to sound like a grump, but I don't see the need for 8K at all. At least right now. What would be great is if RED would make a Vista Vision sized 6K or even 5K sensor and make the actual pixels bigger and better. Instead the company decided to push the resolution game further.

I'd get it, but mini-SDI is a bummer.

Article Comment – June 30th is the Deadline for Upgrading Your RED Camera to the DRAGON Sensor

If you plan to "stay in the game" and already own an Epic MX or a Scarlet Dragon, you should upgrade to Epic Dragon imo. Which I did. Weapon right now is only 10% better than a regular Epic Dragon, that does not justify the 15K+ price increase for me. We'll wait and see what Weapon will become and I like to have an opportunity to upgrade when and if it becomes significantly better than my Dragon now. As for Alexa Mini - a nice little camera that I had a chance to play with, but I would advice anyone not to invest into first generation products, especially with no upgrade paths in sight. There are several things that they need to improve with mini that will make it a great camera like Epic, and my bet is they are coming with a mini XT in a couple of years.

If you don't own a camera get yourself a Sony A7S and shoot the hell out of it. Investing $50-60K into a camera is a very risky business these days. I wouldn't buy a new Dragon or Mini if I was on a market for a camera today.
