Don Linder is a native New Yorker who has lived in Thailand since 2001. His film “The Last Executioner” (2015) played worldwide and won Thailand’s Tukata Tong Award for Best Film and Best Screenplay, making Don the only non-Thai to win a Tukata Tong since the prize was begun by the King over 60 years ago. At its international premiere at the Shanghai International Film Festival, it took the Best Actor award. Don’s most recent film, “The Cave,” about the rescue of 12 boys trapped in a cave in Thailand in 2018, is still playing in cinemas. For the past 9 years, Don has lived in Chiang Mai with his wife, Wunnida Jiratha.
