Article Comment – Tom Cruise Deepfake Raises Ethics Concerns

"How will we copyright our faces and voices?"
This won't happen. People have faces & voices that are identical. Anyone ever hear of twins, triplets, etc? Let alone random people peppered throughout the world.
"How will we copyright our faces and voices?"
Not possible since several people look alike. Does then one person have to get plastic surgery because a person that looks like them already had that face design copyrighted?
"Will commercials use deepfakes of us to show us in clothes or with products?"
Only if they want to get sued. Any filmmaker knows that talent releases include wordage that covers a person's "image". How can companies cover their own ass when they're blatantly using someone's likeness without consent in the form of a release? This is an industry standard. Is the idea that companies would pay actors to perform with the products then replace their face with someone they don't want to pay? Why would a company voluntarily use an unlicensed person's likeness when there are current companies that use A.I. to purposely make faces of people that don't exist?

Article Comment – Blackmagic Releases Pocket Cinema Camera 6K Pro

Hopefully a competent Youtuber does a vid with the Komodo (w/ Canon ND adapter) vs BMPC6K Pro - with proper graded footage & with people and interior + exterior shots.
I'm super curious if the Komodo is worth the extra $4000.

Article Comment – Best Full-Frame Mirrorless Cameras For Video

Seems pretty apparent the writer is not a fan of Panasonic since they spent some space pointing out the shortcomings of the L-mount, but not the Sony E-mount which has identical shortcomings on other manufacturer's systems.
