Been a long time Vegas User (since Vegas 8) and use it to create television commercials. The only reason I have a sub for Adobe is for Close captioning. so much easier in Premiere Pro - Vegas needs to fix this. I have a sub to Vegas Post and in full dicslosure I also use NewBlueFx Titler Pro 7 for titling and animating text/images. Love the combo.
I use it all the time. I produce television commercials and radio commercials. I have PP and the adobe creative suite but am simply faster with Vegas Pro (Vegas Post). Since time is of the essence I default to Vegas. My only beef is inserting close captioning in Vegas is WAY more involved than in PP.
Love using Vegas. Agree on the pros and cons you mentioned. Audio DAW could use some aux send and return buses on each track. Would love to see Vegas pro export to Pro res 422. Pro res is a dream to work with in Vegas - my preferred codec. Maybe be a little more robust on the type of files it can import such as MXF OP1 from PP. Cheers.
Agree on the software as a fantastic piece of kit. I enjoy the experience of producing TV and cinema spots with it. The TV station I work with wants me to use PP, which I do for certain clips that won't import into Vegas Pro and Close captioning. Anyway, I agree with you. Love the software.
I have been using Vegas since version 8. Love using the program. I produce TV and Cinema commercials with it. Same frustration with premiere pro. I start by saying, OK I am going to do this project in premiere then quickly jump back over the Vegas so I can do it faster and easier. I subscribe to POST but haven't really dove deep into Effects or Image yet.
This is an awesome spot. Such a nice change from regular car commercials. I should know I have voiced enough of them over the years and produced a few for TV. Great job Mr Scott.
