I prefer a camera that can record 6K 10-bit continuously for 4 hours using 2 camera batteries (one in the battery grip) and 2 memory cards, and allows me to shoot everything handheld because of it's excellent IBIS system.
And if only Canon, Nikon, Sony FF cameras could record 4K or 6K 10-bit 4:2:2 internal footage, or had an IBIS system that could stabilize handheld camera movement, or had no internal recording limit, or could shoot ALL formats ALL day without overheating. I guess you can't have everything.
So what happens to the great movies that can't be made any other way ?
...The biggest problem I have with Hollywood feature films over the past five years is that too many are playing it safe. The story is boring, the characters are boring, nobody is willing to take a risk, so we end up with a box-office where week after week I can't find a film that's worth watching. Tarantino's latest was a life-raft to an audience that is drowning in safe crappy films...
I hope Aputure revisit their 300D light too because the current power supply on the 300D is pretty noisy.
It looks like a great new camera from Fuji, and the 4K 10-bit 4:2:0 is impressive especially at this price. I do wish it could shoot longer than 20 minutes in 4K 60p 10-bit, but that might come with a more advanced model. Kudos to Fuji.
Yes, but they are using lenses made for the GH5 m4/3 format, so a standard zoom is 12-35mm which is the same as a 24-70mm zoom on a Full Frame camera.
For the Canon R camera with it's 4K 1.67x crop you would need to use a 14-42mm lens to get the same view as a 24-70mm lens on a Full Frame camera.
