Thanks for having me. I'm new to NFS and look forward to learning new and exciting film…things….
Taxi Driver is one of my favorite movies and I look forward to seeing First Reformed soon.
We've analyzed important films such as Apocalypse Now, Taxi Driver, The Deer Hunter etc. until we're blue in the face. After much analyzing, we now know what the Bible is. The Bible is nothing more than the story of Yahweh's (the Bronze Age, Middle Eastern tribal deity) fulfilled plan of redemption for the ancient twelve tribes of Israel only who were cursed with the Old Covenant Law of sin and death. That story ended in AD70 with the destruction of the Old Covenant system, temple and people associated with it (what Jews referred to as "heaven and earth") and has nothing to do with anyone beyond that date. Schrader's religious upbringing really messed him up bad mentally and emotionally. I hope his success in writing fictional movies based on hijacked dead religions is at least some compensation.
