Apologies for the double comment.....was "told" it didn't go thru the first time, will try to delete .
Double comment, sorry.
I assume you want thruthful comments and not superficial praise. This was obviously a labor of love with a lot of heart and soul put into it so I can't figure out why you would settle for such poor acting on a project that took 10 years of your life. It offends me that you didn't feel your audience was worth professional actors or worse, that we were too stupid to know the difference.....this has bothered me for days. Yadira was the only one with any believability at all and that isn't saying much when comparing her to her co-stars. I realize movie making is very expensive but I didn't get the feeling that armatures were used as a way of differing costs, it really feels like family was used for nepotism only and the fact that you couldn't or wouldn't see the lack of talent says volumes about your directing (in)abilities. You say you "served as director, writer, actor, etc." like it's something to be proud of when all we see is ego, ego and more ego. God forbid the music got rave reviews and your name wasn't attached. Taking on all those jobs is too much for any one person to handle and it only makes sense that something would suffer...in this case they all did.
I feel bad because this was an expensive project for you and it has now become an expensive learning experience. Maybe putting a little more thought and consideration into your audiences expectations rather then trying to get your family "discovered" and your name remembered would have resulted in a more positive experience for us movie goers but as it is, the performances in this flick are just plain awful. Shame on you for thinking we wouldn't catch on.
