I agree that it's truly a bummer there's no 4K, that could have been fun. But... no matter how much everyone complains, Canon is still going to sell a s*** load of these cameras and they know it. These are obviously geared towards photographers and that's ok, they are great photo cameras! My old 6D's had great images, but crappy focus and Canon addressed that big time with the Mark ii.
At this point I think it's on you if you're still surprised/upset at Canons video specs on their DSLR's, they know what they're doing and who they are marketing to. If you want cheap 4K cameras because (fill in the blank), Sony and Panasonic will happily take your business:)
Part of the reason the GH5 is great is the price point, the same cannot be said about this Zacuto cage. Nice design though.
Great article Oakley! I'll likely stay with the world of iMac because that makes the most sense for my business but I love when people are open minded and branch out into unfamiliar territories! Also, thanks for not summarizing a video that somebody else already put a lot of work into, it's refreshing. Would love to see more original content on NFS.
Maybe I misinterpreted but I thought Sony's full frame sales grew by almost 30%. Is that the same as owning 30% of the entire market? I've read other sources where the entire market has only grown by 5%. I honestly don't really care one way or the other, so take this comment with a grain of salt:)
It's not unusual for NFS to just summarize other peoples work.
