I have the exact same problem but using windows and google chrome Version 37.0.2062.103 m. For me, I tried creating my profile for the first time, I hit save but then it took me to a page where I was being forced to change my password. When I hit cancel, it deleted everything I had filled out on my profile page.

I just created an account, filled out everything for my profile, and hit save. It took me to a page requiring that I change my password. I didn't want to change my password and so I hit cancel. The system then deleted everything on my profile and I was back to square one needing to fill everything out again. I tried it once and haven't tried it second time since it didn't work. I'll check back in a month or so and see if this is fixed. This happened while using google chrome Version 37.0.2062.103 m.
