yes it says it like 4 times in the article
This is absolutely terrifying. Imagine not only selling your soul, but your face and character for the rest of eternity even after you're unable to even express yourself
:( that's sad. I remember seeing him on billboards in Europe for "Hell Energy Drink" years ago and wondered why he would do that
Waste of money lmao. Wonder what happened to the rig
I fucking love spoof movies!!! just recently gave Superhero Movie another watch, and I can definitely understand criticisms, as well as it only covering Tobey-era spiderman.
With that being said, I still found it massively entertaining especially in the current landscape of comedy.
"Not Another Teen Movie" is also excellently done, covering tropes from the 80's all the way into 2000's and keeps a coherent storyline that takes us through all these wacky scenes
If anyone is searching for a more under rated one, I recommend "Loaded Weapon 1"!!!! that is absolutely hilarious, features a young Sam L. Jackson alongside the classic Emilio Estevez.
Also watched "MacGruber" and "Your Highness" this past week, both in the early stage of 2010's. It actually made me sad that we don't see more of this anymore!!
These 2 examples are perfect for films which respect the genre, having extreme understanding of the structure and tropes which hold the story together. They then flip it on it's head, still holding the hero's journey but not taking itself seriously and surprising us at every turn through misdirection and crude jokes. In the end they still fulfill the 3-acts and keeping it as fun as possible.
I watched "Legend" (1985) afterwards with Tom Cruise, and as incredible the film making was, I found that "Your Highness" was more enjoyable for me because they had an actual relatability within a fantasy world.
Great article, Alyssa!! I hope to see more spoofs, and may just have to make my own..
Wait, what? How is braw not raw? Can still adjust the WB and ISO in post
