Hey guy, thanks for your info. As I am just starting serious grading I think I will still my gear hunger for now and see when I hit a wall with the GH2 footage. As I am using cheap H005 monitor that is bad for anything but focus and framing I will consider the Video Assist. It actually sounds like a good idea.
One of my main problems right now is that Resolve can not work with AVCHD, no audio. I am yet to find a good and free solution to transcode my footage lossfree to sth like dhxhd. Any input on that?
Ive had this problem with A7s footage, GH2, Canon XA20 etc.
Thanks guy for always taking your time.
No matter what, I would wait anyway until the BMMC is out so the BMPCC used price drops a little.
I am not convinced on the GH2 HDMI out. But I need to look into that.
besides that I always wanted a monitor with Waveforms, in your personal opinion is a good histogram a worthwhile alternative?
Thanks so far.
But what would be better if I want goto really test out the cinema realm? 4k or RAW?
Competition drives invention and prices down. So I guess you will at
some point profit from this.
I own the Pilotfly H1+ and just shot a video installation which was a 5min one shoot, the Gimbal was used for steadycam like moves, a variety of dolly moves and finally roped down from a balcony all in one. Such a great tool. The idea with the monopod is great to. Will def try!
Trying to find Linca Flora here in Germany is tough. Dont just wanna jump to another brand. Should I not find them, what is important with those fluo lights=
I guess I will give these a try: http://www.personal-view.com/deals/lights-fresnels-led-kits/small-led-pa... (scroll to 312DS)
as back or hairlight. Fluo as key plus a bounce card.
Thanks for these answers so far! I am going to look into those options.
I am currently thinking about spending a little more. I feel that portability is something I find a very cool feature. So I was thinking about getting 2 312DS LED Panels and a white cardboard for the fill and maybe later getting something else.
Would make 400€. For 400€ any better ideas?
@Guy Thank you especially. Its not the first of my questions you are answering. Thanks to you I now have a Nikon Nikkor AI set of lenses (28, 50 1.4, 85 2)
