Article Comment – What Is the Real Price of the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K?

I think a couple people have already hit this point, but you don't NEED all this stuff to film with the camera. I'm sure a lot of people on a budget like myself who want to get into more serious filmmaking projects are excited at the price point of this camera. Then you read an article like this and get discouraged. CHEER UP PEOPLE! A lot of people will be in a situation like me where you DON'T actually have to spend more than twice the price of the camera to start filming. I already shoot on a canon (and I'm sure a lot of people might be moving from canon to the BMPCC 4k) so all I bought besides the camera was the viltrox lens adapter ($150) a support piece for the adapter ($20) and a sufficiently fast SD card ($90). I don't care about arguing with the article writer or other commenters, but just know if you're coming from a situation like me then this camera really is a bargain and you're not gonna have to spend $3,000. And like other people have said, if you don't already have a camera you'd have to buy lenses anyways. Don't be discouraged guys! Go make some movie magic!
