This seems like a good idea.
Using noise reduction like in Audition can work to some extent. I've also thought that using a gate would be a good idea but haven't had enough luck with that yet to really advocate it.
Unfortunately, I've found that sometimes it's better just to leave the noise in there because sometimes the sound treatment winds up being more noticeable.
Those lights look pretty nice. I've also had success with something similar but smaller. I got one that was Bi-Colored so less lumens but it does do wonders.
Guy, which compact LEDs would you recommend?
All good recommendations. I would add one good "walk around lens". Something that has the focal range of say 24-70 and an f2.8.
Hope that comes through. We could definitely use some more diverse films in the theaters where I live.
That's interesting that you recommend Canon FD lenses. When I tried to get some, it seemed like the only EOS adapter had glass in it that reduced light by a stop or so. Wound up getting an old vivitar pk mount instead.
