Why exactly are you using lavs? I'm a professional sound mixer and director. On my films I properly light and frame my shots and have no need for lavs. On other peoples films they dont plan and do use lavs. Movies were made for 80 years without lavs and they do have their place but if you are on a budget you cannot afford them...
