The Odyssey definitely wins in the frame rate department, but it stop there in my opinion. To me, the Odyssey is only giving people a shadow of what Atomos has been offering all along. The approved third-party SSD's are Samsung only? And you have to super-glue the hardware on? If Atomos had not just released their firmware allowing the Shogun to handle 4K Raw, I doubt that Odyssey would have made such a "kind" upgrade. IMO, unless you need to record anything higher than 30p, I don't know why you wouldn't go Atomos Shogun.

I like the comparison between the sharpening in camera and sharpening in post around the 11 minute mark. I'm sold. Still need to hit my focus though. :)

The video was great because it's practical. It's encouraging hearing him talk about being able to shoot everything on essentially 3 lenses. I also like the practicality of getting pairs of lighting units instead of one of a bunch of different types.
