Boards Comment – Panasonic GH4 audio kit: 2 alternatives

Also, I use the audio I record through the Tascam and into the camera as a guide track for the audio I record into my Tascam memory card for perfect synchronization.

Boards Comment – Panasonic GH4 audio kit: 2 alternatives

Just my thoughts, I use the Tascam DR-60 Mark II with my GH4 and it is fantastic, two XLR inputs (I use an XLR splitter and record audio at different levels), 4 channels of recording, phantom power, you can attach external usb battery packs for unlimited battery time, a menu screen, and I can record directly to a memory card, to my camera, or both. It is made for use with DSLR's and my audio has never been better or cleaner. At $189.00 you can't go wrong. You will get great audio with an average mic.

Boards Comment – Panasonic GH4 Director's Monitor

Thank you Guy and Josh for the input. These are basically the solutions I was hoping for. Simple and easy for the time being. I think I'll go with a C-stand and find a way of attaching a 15" or 17" monitor with the swivel cable. I'll be making my purchase next week so I'll still be checking up here. If anyone else has any other suggestions please let me know. =]
