I signed up right away and about a month later they notified me that "At this time we have filled all the available places on the loan program and we will not be able to fulfil your request. We wish you the very best for your project and thank you again for your application."

Yet, when you go to the website they still let people sign up. Feels a little fishy to me. They get lots of emails and production related information under the guise that you can get a free camera rental from them and a bunch of good PR.
