It splits the clips in shorter segments, so when you import them you just run their joiner tool, that combines them as they were shot in-camera. Not much of a hassle since you have to import them and copy somehow anyway. So you just import them via this tool.
I've used Odyssey 7q and it's a good tool, but the software on it is kinda slow in comparison to Atom OS. Longer boot and reboot times, esp when you switch framerates and so on. Shogun with the new firmware switches on almost at once. So on the software side Atomos is definitely better. Still lacks higher framerates though, such a pity. Please Atomos, make it 4K 50p at least!
