So basically what I'm hearing, most screen writers work sucks. They have enough of an idea / story to interest somebody ...then someone with "skills" makes the work usable...at least in the director / studio eyes. Humm ... that explains why so many writers are unhappy with how their projects are made. This would apply to Book to Movie projects as well..... interesting business
Seriously ... NOBODY cares about 360 video ...it's already dead .... at $400 ... probably be pretty easy to get your hands on one
Are you kidding ..... le sigh
3k for sticks is pretty insane ... would love to give 'em a try
Dresden, no doubt you are an idealistic millennial who is still sitting at the children's table. Watch and learn, learn how to follow the money, you don't have to like it but it's the real world. Let's say you have 10 million of your own money riding on a project .... the LAST thing you are going to do is pick your team by their diversity and "give them a chance" .... no you'll protect your investment and pick the best of everything you can ... so you'll make a return on your investment .... and you can keep playing the game
This business in no different then any in corporate America. It's all about teamwork, the fit within that team and who has the skills to perform their roles so the project achieves the desired outcome. (in Movies add, affordable, available, etc) ... You build your team with the best people you can, that you can afford, and who are available. You don't care about gender, religion, sexual preference or ethnicity ... Period. If you find yourself not where you want to be, look in the mirror... then work harder, smarter, network network network .. quit whining about it's not fair, and it's must be because of your...."insert your excuse here"
