Go with some super affordable older Nikon lenses.
You can build out a great prime kit for under $500.
50mm f1.4 in excellent condition for $149 and the adapters are under $20 on Amazon/Ebay.
We have been using the Manfrotto version of these stands for a little over two years... They lay perfectly in a Pelican 1720 case. Overall great stands and the flat lay system is super clean and portable.
I am surprised there hasn't been mention of Nikkor lenses yet. We have been using a growing set since starting on t2i's and 5d MkII's almost 5 years ago! Now we have 2 a7s bodies that they get used on.
In our kit we have:
105mm f2.8 Macro
The adapters are next to nothing and really solid on the body. But the best part is the affordability. I do not recall what exact lenses are AI, non-AI, AIS, and so on without looking. All have yielded really good results, there is some color shift with the 85mm, nothing that can't be worked with.
