Yeah, I've been checking those out. They have some really nice kits on B&H. Would you suggest running it through a mixer? I was looking at the Sound Devices 302 mixer to keep close to camera.
Also would I need a preamp for the boom like the SoundDevices MM1.
What is your setup like?
Thanks for your reply Guy, you always give good advice.
Thoroughly enjoyed this video. Thanks for posting!
If I had that money and a bit of gear already, I would put that money into getting my name out there and renting a bit of equipment and shooting some really nice shorts or spec spots, basically building up my reel. Put a bit into building a website and start to work on making a return for my investor and myself.
Also, be careful about buying older cameras. Technology changes fast. Buy the newest camera you can afford. I wouldn't buy a used camera over a few years old. How much longer is the shelf life gonna be? We have 5d III, GH4, A7, BMPCC. You should really consider that.
Invest in yourself (time, money, whatever). Take classes, buy gear you can afford, read books, watch tutorials, join clubs and groups and work your ass off.
Thanks for your input Guy!
