Love the art direction, but good lord this is White as hell lol Union soldier too? ROFL
So....in Southern themed films we either involve Africans as slaves for background fodder or simply erase 'em out of the narrative altogether, eh? :-D
GORGEOUS photography, but damn this is a bland-ass storyline and premise.
Resolution literally makes zero difference.
We were all watching crappy 35mm projectors in theaters, enjoying low-res CRTs on VHS and people still won best Cinematography awards.
So unless your bar of measure is based on pixel dimensions, this makes almost no sense whatsoever.
Glad I wasn't the only one who thought this.
I know of people killing themselves trying to save for cameras just to get a TOE in the door, and these boys are melting them for fun. On one hand it's cool to see, on the other, it's fairly disgusting at the same time.
Randall, this is an excellent write up, brother. Definitely will check this out with you soon!
Definitely care about how well this lens resolves, especially for full and super35 shots at atleast F2.
Less care about how "fashionable" the lens body itself looks to others.
Just watched it...m'yeeeeah-NO, it's kinda corny and bland lol
But it's Jonez, so I guess it'll be interpreted as "artistic and conceptual" even if it's really just dry as hell.
Still, nice to see Lakeith getting that money.
