DR60d works great for $200. Also, you can use that one in a shoulder bag for an audio guy to run off a boom pole. 2.5hrs recording time on double A's though... not too bad. No complaints.
I'd take 15 stops and some nice frame rate options at 1080p in prores HQ on this camera... then rent CFast cards when the client had the budget for 4k. But, yes... let's see those prices fall!
That is exactly where I thought it would be. Blackmagic is always looking to give most bang for buck.. and I think they couldn't really place the "mini" above the full sized URSA. The URSA should get the same chip anyway with user upgrade. Now I'm looking at this as to a C100 alternative. Largely depends on 1. low light and 2. frame rate options. I don't think raw matters at this price point. Hopefully we can shoot on Prores onto SD cards.... cfast cards will cost as much as the camera!
I agree - the photo style color tools look great. No more adding "Fast Color Correcter & RGB Curves to all my stuff!! Next they should add some sort of power window/masking feature and I'll be set for years.
When it's released the update will show up in your Creative Cloud app. (Where you download the programs). But, alas - it's not out yet...
Yes... but I use FD glass on micro four thirds mount. (Gh2, BMPCC) I also used to use it on a Sony Nex5n. Since they are all mirrorless the adapters have no glass in them.
