What in the world are you talking about Tyler?
I have the pocket too. I was hoping they would have solved that issue with this new sensor. I haven't heard anyone that has tested the camera comment about it. I suppose we'll have to wait for real reviews to get the honest dirt on this thing. Daytime images look gorgeous and color looks very good all around.
I downloaded the UltraHD version of the promo from the blackmagic website. Looks an awful lot like fixed pattern noise at 1:23 in the video... the car driving at night. Am I wrong?
They are aiming at anyone in the market for a C300mkii. Television, commercials even high end corporate work. I've been eyeing a couple C300 mkii's for television production, but I greatly prefer the Varicam image. Can't wait to try it. That said, I'd skip the viewfinder as the cost is so much more than usable alternatives.
Thanks for being the only comment. Wish this board was more active... Any issues with IBIS with your Canon lens?
I hadn't considered the f4 lenses... mainly because there are times when I do shoot with as shallow dof as I can get. And I typically don't need the extra length (beyond 55mm on the C100 cropped sensor)... That said I'm looking into the Sigma 24-70 2.8 as well and the Canon 24-70 mk2. So... I'm jumping between $750 and $1650ish price wise. Not sure if the extra cost is justified. Wish someone with experience with some of these lenses would chime in.
Beautiful images. Interesting choices on the shots, specifically keeping the jasmine seller in focus while the guy is talking to you near the ending. Colors look really nice. Did you use a LUT with the footage? Shoot prores?
