"Let me guess, you're one of those "systematic racism doesn't exist" and "white people get called racists things too" type of dudes"
...oh you mean someone who lives in reality? "Systematic racism" is a secular religion. Nothing but a repackaging of Catholicism.
Now that you mention it... the only "systematic racism" I've actually seen is actually AGAINST Whites and Asians... in relation to college admission. Both these groups (based on their racial identity alone) must score MUCH higher than other racial groups... who basically get accepted to top schools for being able to write their names on the admission form.
I hear this allot, but I would argue that this person shouldn't be directing quite yet. The best directors usually know individual jobs better than their crew... at least the main creative jobs... you hire the crew because they're better at "executing" them... and they save time. They're not supposed to be picking up the directors slack, or making up for his/her inability.
This is especially true on the indie level with directors like Gareth Edwards. The guy knew arguably more than any VFX artist, cinematographer, and editor he could find for anywhere even close to his budget on his film "Monsters". I mean, sure... make a film anyway you want... but if you want it to stand out in anyway... you're going to have to be amazing at everything. Filmmaking is an elite craft and working directors really are genius-level people.
"Did you watch 'Where to invade next' or even 'Bowling for Columbine'?"
I dissected this film for a project in film-school. It was nothing but lies and misdirection. For example, the town in Michigan they show giving away free guns, has one of the lowest crime rates in the country.
Great post. I have nothing to add. Besides that I really wish there were more Libertarian-Leaning documentaries in the art world. People accept the far-Left narrative as "normal"... as it's all that seems to be produced.
"NFS is not supposed to post political stuff"
I'm fine with it as long as they allow open discussion. Usually "allowing politics" means you must have a "progressive" (guise for socialism) opinion or nothing else.
Are you saying this ironically? Because only the biggest losers on the planet actually use that phrase seriously...
It's ironic (and probably a bit of psychological projection) to assume some criticism means the other person is "hurt" in someway.
