Couldn't agree more - the lack of 4K gives me no reason to toss my 2 current AppleTV's and get "apps". Sorry Apple, you blew it on this one - the future isn't apps - at least not without UHD!
Maybe they need a really, really expensive camera in their line to fool us into thinking the C300 MkII is a bargain at 16 grand?
In the recent demo wars, the a7r II is the clear winner to me. I can buy 2 bodies, lenses, cards, lights and some groceries.
Disagree. FCPX is far better for sound design and mixing with better filters built-in and much easier/faster levels control (not saying that you can't achieve great results in Premiere). Sound design is probably the weakest part of the lesson above. For trailers and teasers you really want hyper-reality for your sound design - for the teaser in the lesson I would compress the heck out of all the hits, clicks, punches etc. and then I will always use a bigger gun - for instance use a shotgun blast for a hand gun to ad impact - otherwise cool lesson.
So Alexa Mini on one end and KiniMini 4K at the other - both insane images, one 10x more expensive than the other and RED stuck in the middle trying to figure it all out. Good Luck.
Did you see this from their 4K camera? As good as any camera at any price:https://vimeo.com/117008129
