Wow the official video looks like a pile of garbage compared to the DOP and Directors graded version. The 2500 Iso looks pretty trashy, would like to see a nice HQ version to see if the detail is there in the wides before online compression.
Not if you have a 70" screen!
Yeah who would want to work with someone like Robert Rodriguez...
This is actually incredibly helpful to see as a cautionary tale, you can have the best gear and get incredible shots, but if the color correction/grade/LUT's aren't handled properly you might as well shoot on a handicam. I actually think the 60FPS is the right decision for this type of project, nature documentary is the ideal situation for both the resolution and frame rate. This isn't supposed to look like a film, it is supposed to look like a window into this country.
Video says around $2,000
Got the nMBP 15" AMD460, 2.7ghz, 16GB ram yesterday and have already been having major issues when actually using it for editing in Premiere. If anyone is wanting to test the crash cause that I've found on my system here is the recipe.
Premiere CC newest version, 4k footage (preferably h.264 from a GH4, DJI OSMO/X3). Find a clip thats a few minutes long, play it out in the source monitor and see if it crashes! Mine does every single time... Whats even better is the screen now flickers almost all the time.
