Ted should probably slow down on the coke before interviews...
Haven't had mine turn off, except when using v-mount batteries at higher than 90% power.. Color balance is a bit warmer than true daylight, punchier than an open face 2k, fan noise is noticeable in smaller rooms even at relatively low ambient temps, still waiting on my replacement filter to fix the green border tinge.. Would I take it back? Hell no.
Guess what, not every article needs to be about how story is the most important part of film production. This kind of resolution based information is useful for a lot of reasons, and I would say is more useful for industry professionals than another article wanking on about how you can tell a story with a cellphone.
Yes, because most cameras shoot in a log format now. I would say it's still massively undervalued and usually an afterthought for a lot of productions. Nothing can ruin a decent project faster than a monkey with a colour wheel.
Wow the official video looks like a pile of garbage compared to the DOP and Directors graded version. The 2500 Iso looks pretty trashy, would like to see a nice HQ version to see if the detail is there in the wides before online compression.
I like the use of a color blind director (Refn) as an example in a post about colorgrading.
