adding this: Sony offers data recovery on their SxS media should something happen. I have taken them up on this (in Canada - there was no fee), and while the erroneously erased media was unrecoverable, it was pretty great to have somewhere to send the card before an insurance claim was made. Other than media being erroneously erased this one time I have never had an SxS card fail in many years of using them.
There is no "Arriflex Eclair". Eclair was a separate camera company. https://eclaircameras.wordpress.com/company-history/ famous for the Cameflex (switchable 16mm/35mm), NPR and ACL cameras. As a company it would eventually become Aaton. Getting the two mixed up is the equivalent of confusing Red and Arri today. The camera pictured is an Arriflex II series camera: http://cinematechnic.com/resources/arri_35-2 . I used to own a Konvas 2M - it was fun. Ran forever, didn't need much maintenance I couldn't do myself. Loud as all get-out though - you wouldn't shoot any sync sound with a camera like that....
Your article doesn't mention that the new prices don't include remote controls....
it just pans...?
