“20% lighter than other carts currently serving the marketplace”. Back that up with comparisons Inovativ
Yes, for one zero less you can buy a product not designed for the film industry. It is also not made of aluminum or stainless steel and lasts about as long as it looks like it would. Even homeless people know even scrap aluminum sells for more than 10 times as much as scrap steel. I have not owned the rocknroller but I recently saw four of them dumped at a recycling place and all four had been welded multiple times and the wheels were falling apart and they looked like trash. I have photos somewhere that I took because they were in such bad condition. The Matthews doorway dolly is just made of steel. Bet you think it should sell for $30. Collapsable, durable and lightweight are three attributes that drive up manufacturing costs of camera carts. You can’t make lightweight anything out of steel unless it is also flimsy, not filmsy. The lighter, more collapsable and more durable they are the more they cost to build. If these attributes are not important to you by all means buy a rocknroller.
Please share the name of a custom builder that will custom build a similar cart out of titanium for less. I have trouble getting them to even return a call.
If you can afford to have a welder on speedial the RocknRoller is fine. It will make you look like an amateur who should charge much less or a professional cheapskate.
And I can’t imagine spending $10,000 or more for a tripod but many do. How much did you spend on your tripod?
