Plunking down some coin and watching a movie means we want to enter the story. Suspension of disbelief and all. Ads, to me at least, are also not reality and I've no problem with SFX.
My issue is the potential for abuse. With the current state of affairs, it is more important then ever for people to know the difference between what is real and what is not.
Thinking the same. Own the R, looking at BMPCC6k, Then the R5 announced, then all the issues...
Not sure how many they expect to sell but I'm sure there's a niche to fill.
I love my R. Been looking at BMD pocket 6k but R5 if the price is right would be my first choice. Time to sell my crop bodies and stop playing with Magic Lantern.
I can confirm that the drivers work for the EOS 70D and EOS 50D, a perfect use for an old workhorse. The EOS Utility 3 does not recognize the 50 and Zoom showed a blank screen, so I started the utility v2 and connected the cam, then closed V2 and then Zoom worked fine. Mic needed direct connection to computer and select "same as system" for it to work. Have fun.
I just read the instructions from Canon and it says to use a separate audio cord from the camera out/headphone jack to computer. USB does not support audio from camera. i have been working on using DSLR as webcam this last week. My Happauge Colosus capture card sees DSLR fine, Audio/Video via HDMI, and shows Youtube and Twitch as streaming services. Acording to canons forum some unsupported models work. (5Dmkll, 70D) going to try after work and post back. R, 70D, 50D w/ML
As a 25 year member of CWA (Communication Workers of America) and affiliate IBEW (International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers) that represents workers in the Telecommunication, Print, Broadcast and Electrical trades, many of whom work alongside many of those affected by this possible strike I support continued negotiating in good faith.
The key being "Good Faith". Too often Management will have already made plans to force a work stoppage, causing financial hardship on members to try and divide the membership or even break the union. A significant factor will be the public perception of who the greedy party is. When advertisements are bought posting executive compensation packages and counter ads post worker hourly pay rate and benefits, each side aims to influence the public and gain an advantage. That, IMO, is not "Good Faith".
Lets hope it never comes to that.
