yes but were not in the 80s or 90s now and most professional stuff from back then looks bad to be quite honest.
How was the 5d4 a "tech" letdown it fulfills its purpose arguably better than any other camera in the world. Its a photography camera and takes amazing pictures, this is article is called "TECH DISAPPOINTMENTS" not video disappointments. Canon yet again released another amazing camera. That doesn't mean im going to buy it , its ridiculously prices and a sony is so much better for my work "VIDEO". continuing on the new macbook is F***ing amazing, Why not do a post on best indie films of this year or best tech this year ( which the 5d4 and new macbook should be on) instead of giving as a pointless list of disappointments (WHICH HALF OF ARE WRONG in my opinion)
blackmagic sell a hdmi to optical fibre converter which is what live broadcasters use for long distances and then reconvert the optical fibre cable ( which you also have to buy) back to hdmi for the monitor. Not sure if you convert the signal to sdi ( blackmagic again) will the distance be better but sdi cables are easier to get. Or you could try buying a more expensive hdmi cable
I used Imovie and then upgraded to final cut x, since then i use premier every wednesday at a film workshop and my friend also now uses premier. I had avid for 2 months and had a trial of premier. I love fcpx and going to any other nle is horrible, there so slow and they feel counter productive.
