The short documentary, Ubermensch, is set to have it's "world premiere" (according to SXSW) when in fact it's not. This film has been made publicly for 2 years now. Not sure if this is a lack of talent that SXSW is picking up or what. Below is a link to the film that I brought to SXSW's attention, and has recently been taken down by the filmmakers, for "breaking the rules". The film is still set to screen though, and trust me you're not missing out on anything if you're unable to see this project. Like I told SXSW: "Thank you for a great festival each year, but please do a better job in selecting projects. You're way better than this!!!"
For years I have been a fan of this festival, but VERY disappointed in the direction it has recently taken. I'm sure thousands of films are entered each year, and a lot of great films have been turned away. Filmmakers need to standup for their work when a festival does things like this!!!
