Agreed. Windows has been supporting 10bits since version 7. But having the rest of the chain support 10bits is another story.
I agree wholeheartedly. Never wanted to use an adblocking app for the exact reason that it's so difficult for creators on youtube to start making any kind of money if they don't do vlogging. And some vloggers work hard on their content as well.
You obviously have not checked specs. One of the things DJI really got right is the software part which allows quick control of the camera. The X5 actually does have aperture and focus control on the DJI app. Weather you consider it a toy or not, the results you can see in the demo is clearly good enough for many pro jobs. You do know this camera (mounted on the Inspire 1) is used in numerous major TV shows, right?
I'm annoyed when I bring a Ronin on a documentary work and end up using the Inspire 1 more because there is just no time to setup a gimbal. I would definitely be using this a lot, but with the X5.
We will be using the new Logmar S-8 which does have remote start and stop using wifi. I don't know the cameras you are concidering using but if there is any lanc capability you can always use wireless lanc.
Excited to look at your tests. I'll be shooting a commercial mountain biking video entirely on super 8 mm film in a month and we'll be using on a Ronin but also on a drone. Good luck with the kickstarter!
True we would need a test. But spring arms like that usually behave the best when they are close to there maximum payload the same way steadicams do (as long as the vertical move is not over the mechanical limits). So in theory with a fully rigged Alexa or URSA results would be even better.
