I own a 70D, and here are the lenses I have
- 18-135 3,5-5,6
- 24-105 F 4.0 canon
- 18-35 1.8 Sigma
- 50mm 1.4 Asahi super takumar (old manual lens)
I haven't used the 18-135 since i bought the 24-105. The 24-105 is the one I take everywhere, and I prefer it to the 18-135 because of its constant and wider aperture ( on the 18-135, f 3,5 is only available at very wide angles) and much better ergonomy.
The "silent" motor of stm lenses is pretty useless in my opinion, because I will never use the in-camera sound if I need to record anything.
the 18-35 is great, I love it, but it is not very cheap.
I you want to have some primes I would recommand to watch for old manual lenses;
One of the best deal is the Helios 44-2 f2.0, you can find it for $30 on ebay and is pretty impressive, very nice bokeh, declicked iris... You just need to buy a M42 to Eos adapter, which costs something like $5.
