Who even wants to be in Sundance? Large festivals like sundace are partially why indie film is dying. You have these big "indie" companies pushing all the little guys to get in and then all the the truly indie films get pushed to the wayside.
Start your own festival in your community and ignore large for profit festivals. From my experience, it's been very rewarding.
