No idea why you say that. It's terribly soft in the corners, but with a lens like this you don't want to have your subject on the sides, ever. And the center is extremely sharp.
It's a specialty lens, so I don't use it much, but it's definitely one of my favorite lenses.
Doesn't impress me much. I have a Kodak Anastigmat 50/1.6 and I think its swirly bokeh is much more extreme than what I see here. I don't have any pics of mine online publicly, but it's this lens:https://www.flickr.com/photos/tarzandelosgnomos/12438541154/in/album-721...https://www.flickr.com/photos/tarzandelosgnomos/12437435795/in/album-721...
No, I don't agree with that list. I just can't take it seriously as long as Black Mirror is not there.
Padre Tiempo is a short with a very similar style and was made 15 years ago, with Goya instead of Van Gogh:http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0413085/?ref_=nm_flmg_cin_9
Unfortunately that means it's so old that the only online copy I could find is this horrible one that somebody hacked five years later:https://vimeo.com/3269897
