Great work and good message. I'm sure they wrapped up the camera well, but working with all that fine powder around that expensive equipment would go against my better judgment.
This will be great! No more reading an email with critique, start and stop times and then jumping to the video to figure out exactly what was meant. Should make the edit / client review process much easier and clearer.
I'm sure this is legit. Once you add a minimum of $31 to a maximum of $74 shipping, the $150 price for this monitor, sony battery plate, mounting arm, sunshade and HDMI cable is right in line with the FeelWorld FW760 which has similar specs and is sold as a kit for $179 at B&H. For them to succeed, this monitor needs to be shown to be better (or at least equal) to the crop of monitors out there that can be had for near this price OR that their customer service and warranty is better. Competition at any price is good and competition at the lower price points is great for everyone, especially the lower budget indepent filmmaker. I wish them well!
It's interesting that there is a similar theme in DJI's "The Circle" as in "Henosis" by Luke Neumann just a few posts apart. Both touch on giving away what we work for. Both have an antagonist that simply takes what they want thorough the use of force or by suggesting force and a protagonist who decides on his own when, how much and who he gives to. Both films reveal quite nicely one of the greatest debates in civilization and the pros and cons of different forms of government.
Great test! This makes me feel very good about my recent investment in Dracast LED lighting! They pop up in B&H's Deal Zone from time to time and I've been snapping them up when they do. I also have the Dracast T-1000 tube units that are a LED equivalent to the standard KINO FLO's, which are also great, but have a much softer quality than the panels. To really see the best of what all these light can do, bring them into Photoshop and WB the grey card, it makes a big difference.
This is great, but what is really needed is how to load and organize a regular rental cube truck which is much cheaper than a grip truck. Renting a grip truck is often out of the budget for no to low budget films. I had to rent a regular U Haul type of truck for my last production and it was a disaster! When you don't have the grip carts and shelving to organize equipment, it gets out of control real fast which sucks up time. There must be a trick using relatively cheap supplies to help organize C stands, flags, lights etc. I could probably figure something out, but next time I'm insisting on a proper grip truck.
