"Then there's the Chinese OnePlus One smartphone that actually beat out the Canon 5D Mark III in a video comparison." By who's pronouncement? Only in the area of detail did the cell phone "Beat" the 5DMKIII. The dynamic range was horrible and the rolling shutter on these cell phones is also horrible. It's exciting that the public is now being offered phones with this type of high res capability, but they have a long way to go before they will fully "Beat" a modern DSLR or other dedicated video camera.
Looks like the mic pickup holes are placed right where your hand covers them up. Who designs this stuff?
