Article Comment – Panasonic Confirms New 4K GH6 Camera

I absolutely love my GH5. I’ve been shooting with it for years and still think it’s image quality is top notch for its market class. I hope Panasonic can improve the lowlight performance and implement a DPAF style autofocus system. If they can get the dynamic range to match that of the S1H then I’ll be kissing another $2500 goodbye, haha.

Article Comment – How Do Movie Studios Deal with Toxic Fandom?

Studios can avoid the problem from the beginning by respecting the source material. Rian Johnson’s toxic directing of “The Last Jedi” completely disrespected the source material in a number of ways. He took well beloved characters and made them completely unlike-able. Worst yet, instead of blaming Rian Johnson for destroying a 40 year old legacy, they create terms like “toxic fans”.

Another idea would be to keep politics (regardless of the side) out of movies that aren’t related to politics (ie superhero movies, Star Wars, animations, etc). There’s nothing that takes me out of a movie or show faster than preachy agenda politics. I stopped a movie on Netflix about 5 minutes in when subtle preachy agenda creeped into the story. It’s no longer a story about characters and life lessons, it’s about pushing narratives that bring up one group by pushing another group down.

Article Comment – Was Gina Carano's Firing Fair?

Said perfectly. “Cancel Culture” is nothing more than a modern day mob. They’re the same lunatics that would’ve walked down the streets with torches and pitchforks to burn the “witches”.

There’s a reason why we have a justice system. It’s to give everyone a fair judgment, which “cancel culture” is anything but...

Article Comment – Gina Carano Wasn't Blacklisted, She Was Fired for Being Bad for Business

“ There is absolutely nothing wrong with Lucasfilm firing Carano for this. And even more importantly... this doesn't mean Disney/Lucasfilm has a liberal agenda. Because guess what?

They don't. Neither does Hollywood.”

This writer might have their head farther up their own a$$ than any other “journalist” alive. So the Academy Awards only nominating movies based on the racial diversity of the crew isn’t a liberal agenda? All the “Mary Sue’s” popping up in movies (Rey, Captain Marvel, etc) isn’t a liberal agenda?? GTFO...

Article Comment – Gina Carano Wasn't Blacklisted, She Was Fired for Being Bad for Business

Unlike this thoughtless article written by a Wokémon in training, The Critical Drinker sums up what happened to Gina perfectly:
