The Munich-based company has announced it will showcase new versions of its self-tightening Snapbag softbox at NAB. You might recall No Film School editor V Renée showing us how to use Snapbag and Snapgrid light modifiers last year. These set-up friendly softboxes mount in seconds right on the front of most popular LED fixtures and come in rectangular, octagonal and flyball versions.

DoPchoice has added a 7-foot diameter Octa 7 Snapbag to join its Octa 5 and Octa 3 siblings. The entire line features reflective inner fabric for maximum output and is said to deliver "even illumination across the front surface."

Also on hand at NAB will be the Snapbag Medium, which has the ability to be interchanged with well-known LED soft lights. When accompanied with Rabbit-Ears, which is a mount designed to replace speed rings, the system can fit on to a wide array of LEDs, including:

  • ARRI Skypanel S30 and S60
  • BB&S Lighting Area 48 Soft and Studio
  • Cineo HS and MAVERICK Trucolor
  • Creamsource Full and Mini
  • Kino Flo Celeb 200
  • Litepanels Astra 1×1 and 1×1 Soft
  • THELIGHT’s Velvet 1, Velvet 1 Power, Velvet 2 and Velvet 2 Power

The company's Snapgrid products, which help direct light in 30°, 40° or 50° light dispersion and come in rectangular and octagonal shapes, will be also on display. In addition, new versions of DoPchoice Snapbags designed exclusively for THELIGHT, BB&S, Sumo, Creamsource, Spaceforce, Litegear, DMG Lumière and Kino Flo will be displayed in these brand’s NAB booths. For more information, visit: www.dopchoice.com
