GoPro Unveils New HERO5, HERO5 Session, and $800 Foldable Karma Drone
Meet the new GoPro HERO5 as well as the highly-anticipated drone, Karma.
GoPro held its big event today and unveiled a bunch of exciting new products: the long-awaited HERO5, the HERO5 Session, and, of course, its first-ever aerial drone, Karma.
HERO5
To start off, GoPro introduced the next generation of the HERO line of action cams, the 4K HERO5, which is not only waterproof without a housing at up to 33', but also features voice control. The HERO5 also features advanced video stabilization, larger 2" display, and stereo audio. The HERO5 will be available on on October 2 for $400.

HERO5 Session
As we all know, the Session line is the compact version of the HERO line, and this new iteration is no different. The HERO5 Session has most of the same features of the HERO5 but with a much smaller form factor. You get voice commands, 4K video, waterproofing, three different shooting modes, and one-button control. It costs less than its bigger brother at $300, but packs pretty much the same punch.

Karma
Perhaps the most exciting announcement of the day was GoPro's very first drone, Karma—which, as you'll soon begin to see, is not just a drone.
Because of its interesting design, which includes the drone itself as well as a removable gimbal that can be used as a handheld stabilizer (all included in-box), Karma allows you to capture shots from the air, handheld, and mounted to different types of gear. Its foldable design also makes it very compact, and GoPro has included a backpack for easy transport.
Karma will be available October 23 for $800, $1,100 with a Hero5 included, or $1,000 with a Hero5 Session.
