The Pros and Cons of the BMPCC 6K

BMPCC6K Pros and cons
Hey, a new camera came out. We should talk about that!

Plus a look back at Michael Mann's Collateral, why Olivia Wilde's deal is as exciting as it is important, and some more tech news.

Editors note: George isn't over 40. But it's not the years, it's the mileage.

Black Magic does not like adaptors or anything molesting things and like to keep things pure. They made the EF mount to mount EF. It is why they also don't put an OlPF filter int he camera. They want things unmolested. Also Black Magic makes their cameras for people who don't have a lot of money and everyone had EF lenses.

I just listened to this episode and it was good to hear your thoughts on the 6K. I do want to say, though, that the name "pocket" doesn't literally mean pocket (especially with a lens on it). Just like a pocket bike isn't a bike that'll fit in your pocket, it just means a smaller, more manageable form factor. So a pocket cinema camera means a cinema camera that is just smaller than a normal one.
