Black Magic Cine + Rode Video mic

Does the Rode video mic work with the black magic cinema camera?

Any inputs I should purchase?

Thanks

I know for sure there's an input on the BMPCC that the video mic pro can fit into. I'm not positive on the 2.5k Cinema Camera though. It appears to have an audio input, so I'd assume you could plug your vid mic into it.

I've got a BMPCC, and Brad's right, it has a 1/8" input. The BMCC however has a 1/4" input, so all you'd need is an adapter

Hi, I have the Blackmagic Cinema Camera and the Rode Videomic Pro and they work great together. You will need a hotshoe adapter to place the mic on top of the camera, and a mini jack to jack adapter to plug the mic into one of the BMCC's audio inputs.
To get the best audio results you will have to set the mic's level to +20 and the BMCC's mic input to about 30% - 40% depending on the situation!
If you need any more info, just let me know!
Cheers!
