CAME-TV Came Single

Hi all, I received my CAME-TV single earlier this week and have made a few videos so far as I know there is still nothing out there to watch bar a few short videos on instagram so far, and it always feels like a gamble putting that much investment forward without first seeing something from it.

First video is my unboxing and the second was on my second afternoon with the Came-TV Came Single. All i have done is balance the camera, everything else is out of the box. There is a lot of jitter which I think I will fix with a combination of better balancing, more experience walking with the unit and PID Controller (software) settings.

Just a note that these shots were meant to push the unit so you can see it at its worse, I don't intend to hide anything from you :) So please don't judge my filming capabilities too much from these shots. I'd looked at the shots CheesyCam released of the pool table and to be completely fair I was getting shots as nice as this with the small movements around a table etc. But we all want good walking and running capabilities at the end of the day :)

This was filmed with the Panasonic GH4 and 14mm f2.5 lens with autofocus on.

Would love to get comments from you all with any questions or suggestions. Cheers

I found your videos earlier online. Appreciate it alot. I m thinking about getting myself a gimble like this. Everything speaks for the came single: 32bit, those sensors, tool less design, long lasting replaceable batteries except for the price. Have you tried other vimbals aswell?

CheesyCam.com has published a set-up review of the Nebula 4000, PilotFly H1, and the CAME Single gimbals. No demo footage yet, but lots of info about all three of these compact handheld gimbals...

Looks like the CAME Single is the best on the market right now.

Seems like it. But I am leaning towards the Pilotfly, as it is alot stealthier and they encourage you to get a external battery. I am planning to just use one lens with it, so it may still be a good choice for me.

Also sounds like with the CAME you can't really tune the PID settings, what Dave Dugdale refers to as the plug-n-play Mac/Apple approach.

Sure. How much time did it take to get a proper "smooth" balance with your camera and lens set-up ? ( also list what camera and lens you are using )

I have been loving the Came TV single, but will ultimately upgrade to the Optimus after checking it out at Photo Plus Expo. It's replaced both my Defy G5 and Ronin M. Here is a video on my current go-to rig. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tj_HSDX5xIM
