Critique This?

Hey everyone.
I've really been pushing myself lately to get out there and actually do stuff. I've been into film for the last couple of years, but haven't really done anything about it. I made this short video after visiting my fiance in Texas last week. What do you guys think? What was good? What should I do differently?

Hey, well, I'd repeat myself but yet again. You mix two kinds of aesthetics approaches. It's not like you can't do it, but in your way it feels ehhh clumsy? But it's the most common thing around internet :)

Personally, I love the abstractness of a lot of this, but the lack of context and focus cripples the piece. Really, it seems like you have the basics, but I'd like to see you push into more narrative based things. Imagery really sings there, because it all has a purpose. Regardless, I'm glad you got the shots you did, they feel unlike many I've seen, very personal. Might be the focal lengths you've chosen, so keep with that, sometimes that makes a huge different in successful stylings.

I can agree he could have push it more. But why into narative based things? I appreciated that it wasn't narrative at all(or manimal narrative if you want).

I like the idea of what this could have been - I personally think a voice over could have brought more substance to the images. I do like the camerawork because it's the kind of shots I would like to shoot but I agree with the fact that it lacks narrative because this could of been a story about anything but you haven't told it completely.
